Hi, I'm Ivan Wilson. I currently serve as Director and Senior Projects Engineer for ITEC Controls Ltd. I have overall responsibility for the day to day running of the company and also provide a hands on role in the project design and management arena.

My background is of a solid electrical engineering nature, first qualifying as an electrical technician in 1992 after serving 4 years in a City & Guilds indentured apprenticeship. Since then I have spent most of my working life in and around the industrial automation sector in both hardware and software roles.

I am a Technician Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, and have progressed to coupling my experience in the field with fluent knowledge of the Autodesk® CAD system. I have played an active role in the automation arena for 22 years, encompassing hardware design and the development & deployment of PLC and SCADA platforms by most mainstream vendors. I also design & develop bespoke Microsoft® Windows® applications.

Who are we?

We are a small, family run company based in the beautiful surroundings of the South Downs in East Sussex. The company was incorporated in 2015 to serve an already accumulating customer base formed of companies with whom we have had long and solid working relationships. Some of the companies we serve are small to medium sized businesses based both locally and nationally, as well as multi-national companies in bigger mainstream industries.

Here at ITEC Controls, we retain the services of a number of specialist partners, suppliers and systems integrators, where projects require a larger or more specialised head count. This enables us to have more flexibility in our approach and gives us the ability to tailor our services for specific projects. We do not, however, claim to have a specialist in every industry on tap 24 hours a day; If your project could be outside the scope of our skill set we will do our best to advise you of the best way to move forward.
